Academic Excellence & Integrity
Keep strong academics, measurable student progress, and educational integrity at the center of every district decision.
Read moreThe foundation
Not slogans — the standard I want to be judged against at the board table.
Clear expectations, measurable follow-through, and decisions families can track.
Open information and plain-language communication before decisions are made.
Honest measurement of student progress and academics kept at the center.
Orderly campuses, clear behavior expectations, and practical safety education.
Meet Amber
Four generations of my family have called Carlsbad home, and I have been a Carlsbad Unified parent since 2004.
I have spent two decades inside these schools as a parent — at back-to-school nights, in parent conferences, and at board meetings. I know what works here, and I know where families feel unheard.
I am running because strong schools are not automatic. They take clear expectations, honest measurement, and a board that treats parents as partners.

All prioritiesTrustee Area 1
Carlsbad Unified elects trustees by geographic area. Only voters who live inside Trustee Area 1 vote in this race — which is exactly why neighbor-to-neighbor conversations decide it.
Area 1 covers the northwest side of the district, including much of the Village, Barrio, and Olde Carlsbad. The official boundary map adopted by the district in 2022 is shown here.

Upcoming event
Come meet Amber, hear why she is running for Trustee Area 1, and find out how you can help. Financial and volunteer support are both welcome — bring a neighbor.
