Meet Amber
Carlsbad is home
Four generations of my family have called Carlsbad home, and I have been a Carlsbad Unified parent since 2004.
I have spent two decades inside these schools as a parent of four children, and years volunteering alongside other Carlsbad families — on site council, with the PTA, as a parent security volunteer, and at community events.
I am running because strong schools are not automatic. They take clear expectations, honest measurement, and a board that treats parents as partners.

School boards should be focused on helping students learn — not distracted by politics that pull attention away from classrooms.
Amber believes Carlsbad schools should concentrate on strong academics, safe and orderly campuses, supported teachers, honest communication, and meaningful partnership with parents. Every decision should begin with the same question: Does this help our students learn, grow, and thrive?

Students do best when parents are informed, teachers are supported, expectations are clear, and communication is honest. Amber will advocate for a district culture that respects the essential role both families and educators play in student success.
